I thought today’s class was really good. I think the video on The Search for Jesus with Peter Jennings was really good. It was nice to be able to see other biblical scholars addressing some of the same issues we have been discussing in class…plus, that Peter Jennings is the MAN!
Other than that, I really was interested in learning about the Table Fellowship stuff. I thought it was good, what Bolger was saying about how when people are thrown off balance is when they feel uncomfortable and when they act out. It really reminded me of some friends that I have where you could REALLY see this playing out in her life. When situations were thrown off balance, and people felt like their authority was being subverted, the proverbial crap hit the fan. But the funny thing is, that balance can be restored again.
All in all, good class, Bolger, good class.
